Full Job Description
Onsite IT Support
1. Q22 IT will be structured in clusters to support all the FIFA Arab Cup 2021 & FIFA World
Cup Qatar 2022TM venues. The Contractor will be complementing this team, providing
skilled IT Technicians to support End Users with their use of the IT Services and to deploy
and support IT equipment at Venues and other locations as needed.
2. The Scope of IT equipment & software supported includes:
a. Laptops & Desktops
b. Monitors
c. PC Accessories (keyboard, mouse, chargers, cables, etc)
d. Printers
e. Mobile Computing Devices
f. TVs
g. Other Audio-Visual equipment (projectors, speakers, microphones, controllers,
video conferencing)
h. LAN equipment (switches, routers, etc)
i. Operating Systems (Windows, MacOS)
j. Applications (e.g., Office 365, Browser, VPN, Antivirus, Active Directory, File
Server, etc)
3. The scope of the Onsite IT Support Team will include the following:
a. Receive Support Issues assigned by the Service Desk or raise them directly
based on the end user request using the ITSM tool. All Support Issues must be
registered in the ITSM tool to ensure full visibility on Service performance.
b. Work closely and cooperate with the FWC IT Service Desk and all other Support
Groups to resolve or ensure resolution of Incidents and Service Requests
according to the Service Level Agreement and other Service Level Objectives or
KPIs.
c. Monitor the equipment and services using the Service Monitoring tools provided
to ensure both proactive and reactive support is utilised.
d. Develop specific procedures for the scope of their work to ensure consistency
across the team and ensure that a high quality of support is provided.
e. Develop and deliver training, guides and tips to End Users, other service
Providers and Support Groups on the IT Services.
f. Perform installation and decommissioning of IT Equipment on the Venue
according to the Event IT schedule. This includes movement of IT equipment
within venues.
g. Support special events and meetings as needed.
h. Other IT Support activities as required by Q22.
4. IT Technicians shall be knowledgeable across a wide range of IT equipment and
applications; however, it is expected that within the team there may be some specialist
roles including AV Support IT Technician, Networking Technician, VIP Support IT
Technician, etc.
